Minnesota Team

HHFH Team

In 2000 Mark Kroll, Certified Orthotist, joined the Milwaukee Healing Hands for Haiti team. Mark was so inspired by this experience he came back and started the Minnesota team, leading the first team in 2001.

The core group of our team has shown intense dedication to Healing Hands, and to the people of Haiti. Providing hands-on patient care, education and supplies are very important during our ten day trip, but equally important is the work involved creating a sustainable project when we are not in Haiti. Minnesota team member Al Ingersoll, Certified Prosthetist, has helped set up a distance learning program for our Haitian Prosthetic and Orthotic Technicians.

Seven hours of video filmed during our 2005 trip by Averill Kronick, a Minneapolis film director, was instrumental in creating a short film documenting the work of Healing Hands for Haiti. With significant donations of time he, along with a writer and videographer produced a very accurate and touching portrait of the Foundation. Our team has distributed over 1,000 copies of the film, and along with other fundraising has raised over $300,000. With this money, Healing Hands is working towards another goal of sustainability, our own hospital.

Thank-you, Healing Hands for Haiti, for the impact you’ve made in our lives.
